Description
A powerful Shiva temple where the Mahamrityunjay Mantra is continuously chanted. Inside is the Dhanwantari Kup — an ancient medicinal well where Lord Dhanwantari placed sacred herbs. The temple grants victory over the fear of death. Devotees believe that drinking water from the well can cure chronic ailments and bring relief from long-standing illnesses.

History
The temple is ancient, with references in Puranic texts. The Dhanwantari Kup inside is believed to date back thousands of years, where Lord Dhanwantari placed medicinal herbs during the churning of the ocean. Tulsidas installed the Hanuman idol here. The temple was historically frequented by Ayurvedic practitioners who would collect water from the well for healing purposes.
Significance
The name Mrityunjay means victory over death. Chanting the Mahamrityunjay Mantra here is believed to grant relief from chronic diseases and the fear of death.
