Extended ghat-circuit flights run roughly ₹45,000-60,000 depending on duration. Dev Deepawali special flights are priced seasonally at a premium. Government-run services from Namo Ghat helipad announced fares near launch; private operators (e.g., Holy Voyages) publish fixed rates.

Two points: the new government helipad at Namo Ghat (the modern riverfront with parking — drive right up), and Police Line Varanasi for some private operators. Namo Ghat is the tourist standard — it has parking, food court and waiting areas, and was purpose-built with a helipad above the flood line.

Services were cleared for launch around Dev Deepawali (November 2025) after surveys, safety inspections and technical trials completed, with approvals from the Smart City Mission, District Administration and Tourism Department. Operations coordinate with Babatpur (Lal Bahadur Shastri International) Airport Authority.

In 8-10 minutes: the golden Kashi Vishwanath spire, the full 84-ghat crescent, Dashashwamedh (and on evening slots, the Aarti fire circle), Manikarnika, the river's widest bend, and on extended routes Ramnagar Fort. Window seats on both sides get views — request seating at check-in.

Book through licensed operators (Holy Voyages and similar approved agencies) by phone/website, or the government booking counter at Namo Ghat once online booking opens. Advance booking is essential — especially for Dev Deepawali week when slots sell out weeks ahead. Carry a photo ID; arrive 30-45 min early for briefing.

Flights use certified 3-6 seater helicopters with experienced pilots under DGCA norms, coordinated with Babatpur ATC. Flights suspend in fog (Dec-Jan mornings), high winds and monsoon downpours — rebooking or refund per operator policy. Book morning slots in winter for clearest visibility.

Sunrise slot (6:30-8 AM, Oct-Mar): golden light on the ghats, mist on the river — most photogenic. Evening slot (~5-6 PM): you see the Aarti crowds and lamp glow from above. Midday: harshest light, but clearest in monsoon months.

Yes — no strict age limit, but infants must be held securely and weight limits apply per seat (declare accurate weights at booking). Elderly guests get assistance at the helipad; Namo Ghat is wheelchair friendly up to the pad area.
